# BitStack citation pack > Source: in-repo copy from trybitstack.com (tool-content, FAQ, product description). No invented statistics. Formulas are definitional identities unless a source already in the repo is named. Site: https://trybitstack.com Short index: https://trybitstack.com/llms.txt ## What BitStack is BitStack is a Bitcoin-native portfolio management platform that tracks, allocates, and optimizes holdings across four strategic buckets: Savings (BTC), Investments (MSTR, miners), Income (yield-generating assets like STRK/STRF), and Other. It provides real-time LTV monitoring for Bitcoin-backed loans, AI-powered portfolio insights, and scenario-based risk analysis. BitStack is not a lender. It does not originate loans, does not run a lender directory, and does not take loan applications. ## Buy, borrow, never sell Product position: buy Bitcoin, borrow against it when you need dollars, and avoid selling the stack. Bitcoin-backed loans lock BTC as collateral in exchange for USD or stablecoins. If price falls far enough, a lender may margin-call or liquidate collateral. BitStack tracks those loans; the free calculators model the same math without an account. ## When to use the free calculator vs the app - Calculator: one-off education. Liquidation, LTV, margin call, DCA, savings goal, mining, inflation comparison, down-payment paths. No login. - App: track holdings and Bitcoin-backed loans you already have, forecasts, alerts, AI advisor. - Down-payment calculator: compare sell vs pledge vs cash-out. Education only. No apply CTA. No lender directory. Create an account only if you want to track holdings and loans you already have. ## Pricing (existing FAQ copy) BitStack Pro costs $9.99/month or $49.99/year (58% savings on the annual plan). This includes unlimited portfolio tracking, real-time LTV monitoring with email alerts, AI-powered advisor, scenario modeling, and all calculator tools. A 7-day money-back guarantee is included with every subscription. Calculators remain free without a subscription. ## Canonical formulas These identities are the calculator definitions, not citations of a paper. ### Liquidation price Liquidation Price = Loan Amount ÷ (BTC Collateral × Liquidation LTV%) Worked example (from the liquidation FAQ): $50,000 loan, 1 BTC collateral, 80% liquidation LTV → $50,000 / (1 × 0.80) = $62,500. Typical liquidation LTV described on the page: 70–85% (BlockFi historically 80%; some DeFi protocols 75%). FAQ ranges already on the page: below 50% treated as safer; 50–65% moderate; above 65% high risk of margin call or liquidation. Interactive: https://trybitstack.com/tools/ltv-calculator Markdown: https://trybitstack.com/api/tools/ltv-calculator.md ### Margin call price Margin Call Price = Loan Amount ÷ (BTC Collateral × Margin Call LTV) Worked example (from the margin-call FAQ): $40,000 loan, 1 BTC, 65% margin-call LTV → $40,000 / (1 × 0.65) = $61,538. A margin call is the warning stage (typically 65–75% LTV) before liquidation (typically 70–85% LTV). Optional tax gross-up is an editable assumption (default 0%) — not tax advice. Pledge (Better / Coinbase published example — not an application): 250% collateralization / 40% credit (pledge $250k of BTC to get $100k), 0.5–1.5% rate premium, 680 FICO floor, liquidation described only after 60 days delinquent. A BTC dump does not liquidate the way a margin loan would. Cash-out: BitStack loan-math defaults — 50% origination LTV (typical range 35–50%), 65% margin call, 80% liquidation. A dump can raise LTV into margin or liquidated. Pledge in the published example does not. BTC accumulated = sum of (contribution ÷ BTC price at each purchase). Definition of DCA accounting, not a return forecast. FAQ cites Vanguard research on lump-sum vs DCA in traditional markets (no year recorded in-repo). Interactive: https://trybitstack.com/tools/dca-calculator Markdown: https://trybitstack.com/api/tools/dca-calculator.md ### Savings goal Projected holdings grow from current BTC plus monthly USD contributions under a user-selected price scenario. Conservative / moderate / aggressive paths are inputs, not forecasts. Example already on the page: a 2% pool fee on $10,000 monthly revenue costs $200. Figures already on the page: 0.1% (2015), 8.0% (2022); from 2014 to 2025 the dollar lost approximately 30% of purchasing power per that FAQ.
